Department of Anaesthesia and Perioperative medicine
Anaesthesiology is a speciality in medicine, which is concerned with complete clinical care of patient, before, during and after surgery. That’s why, it is named as perioperative medicine. In addition, we are available round the clock, for any advanced emergency clinical care. The goal of our department is to provide highest degree of clinical care with emphasis on patient’s safety and satisfaction. Our department provide clinical services in operation theatre, surgical ICU and PAC clinic.
Operation Theatre Complex
Our department is mainly housed at 3rd floor of the hospital building, with availability of state-of-the-art anaesthesia services. We are a team of well qualified, senior and junior anaesthetists, along-with well qualified technical and nursing staff. Our OT complex has 7 state of the art modular operation theatres, equipped with advanced armamentarium. We have availability of advanced technology for anaesthesia administration like best available anaesthesia workstation, multipara patient monitors with hemodynamic, neuromuscular and BIS monitoring.

Surgical ICU
A good number of operative patients require ICU care either before or after surgery. Our department runs 12 bedded, spacious, state of the art surgical ICU, which located on the 2nd floor. It is managed by the team of anaesthesia consultants. Surgical ICU is fully equipped with all the necessary instruments.
Pre-anaesthesia check-up (PAC) clinic:
In PAC clinic, which lies at 3rd floor, adjacent to the OT complex, a team of anaesthesiologists, evaluate the patient’s clinical status and formulate a plan for anaesthesia for the surgical procedure. All the patient’s queries are answered in a cordial and sympathetic manner, in addition to the explanations for the risks involved.
